BeautyRival – Ralph Lauren has finally secured a landmark location in London. The brand will open The Polo Bar Ralph Lauren at 1 Hanover Square in 2028. This ends years of searching for the right spot, after even considering launching a hotel in the city.
The chosen site is rich in history. The building, formerly known as Vogue House, served as Condé Nast U.K.’s headquarters for 75 years before the company moved in 2023. Its redevelopment is part of a wider transformation in Mayfair, boosted by the arrival of the Elizabeth line station nearby.
The London Polo Bar will be the brand’s sixth restaurant. Ralph Lauren already operates dining venues in New York, Paris, Chicago, Milan, and Chengdu. Alongside these, more than 40 Ralph’s Coffee locations now operate worldwide.
Each Polo Bar is designed with a distinct personality. Yet they share common elements — leather banquettes, wood-paneled walls, and equestrian artwork. The concept has earned global acclaim for its club-like feel and Americana charm.

The New York Polo Bar menu features staples such as The Polo Bar Burger, Ralph’s Corned Beef Sandwich, prime filet mignon, and lobster rolls. Paris offers similar dishes with French touches like Dover sole and seared sea bass.
London guests can expect a mix of these signature items. The menu will combine American classics with European sophistication, creating a new dining landmark in the city.
For Ralph Lauren, London’s opening represents more than business.
“I have always been inspired by the special charm and heritage of the British way of living,” said Lauren, executive chairman and chief creative officer of Ralph Lauren Corp. “There is an effortless grace that blends timeless sophistication, understated ease, and natural elegance.”
Lauren’s ties to the U.K. run deep. In 2019, he became the first American fashion designer to receive an Honorary Knighthood (KBE). The company also opened its first international flagship store on New Bond Street in 1981, marking the start of its British presence.

Ralph Lauren has long supported British culture. Since 2006, the brand has been the official outfitter of The Championships, Wimbledon, celebrating tennis’s greatest stage. In 2016, the company founded the Ralph Lauren Centre for Breast Cancer Research at The Royal Marsden.
With The Polo Bar London, Ralph Lauren extends its legacy once again. The restaurant will bring together British heritage, American style, and the timeless charm that defines the brand.
