On Thursday, July 3, 2025, Tasya shared her version of the challenge on Instagram. Her look featured fierce, elongated eyeliner paired with golden eyeshadow that matched her accessories. The sharpness around her eyes gave a commanding presence, very much in line with Cleopatra’s legendary aura.
Tasya didn’t stop at gold and black. She added electric blue under her eyes for extra depth and vibrance. This combination brought her eyes to life. She also used golden eyeliner to enhance the outer wings, making her gaze feel powerful and unmistakably regal.
To further channel Cleopatra, Tasya added a decorative twist to her left eye—reminiscent of Egyptian motifs. Thick black lashes intensified her gaze. A matte brown lipstick completed her bold yet balanced look. Her straight black hair with bangs was topped with an ornate gold headpiece and a shimmering gold outfit adorned with colorful gemstones.
Tasyi Athasyia had earlier posted her Cleopatra makeup on June 22, 2025. Her approach was softer yet still glamorous. She opted for a teal-blue eyeshadow, a nod to Egyptian gemstones. This color also appeared in her headpiece, giving her look a more serene but majestic vibe.
Tasyi added a dramatic winged liner with a subtle gradient at the tips. Unlike Tasya, she emphasized the right eye with a visible Egyptian-inspired symbol. This small but powerful detail gave her look a mystical, historical edge, enhancing the storytelling behind her version.
To balance the strong eye makeup, Tasyi wore nude lip gloss. Her outfit—a pure white ensemble—added a divine quality to the look. Her headpiece featured a golden cobra with hanging green beads on her forehead, along with a layered gold-and-blue necklace that captured Cleopatra’s royal spirit.
This makeup challenge is more than a trend. It celebrates Cleopatra, the last queen of the Ptolemaic dynasty, who ruled Egypt from 51 to 30 BC. Known for her beauty and intelligence, she was a diplomat, a linguist, and a strategic ruler. Her relationships with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony made her an eternal icon.
Cleopatra co-ruled with her brother-husband Ptolemy XIII at age 18. She regained the throne with Caesar’s help and gave birth to his son, Caesarion. After Caesar’s death, she returned to Egypt, only to become romantically and politically involved with Mark Antony. Together, they faced Octavian’s Roman forces in 31 BC.
After their defeat and the fall of Alexandria in 30 BC, both Cleopatra and Mark Antony took their own lives. Though the dynasty ended, Cleopatra’s legacy lived on. Her image—blending strength, seduction, and sovereignty—continues to inspire makeup, fashion, and storytelling to this day.
