BeautyRival – Luxury fashion house Loro Piana is celebrating its ties to Scotland with the launch of the Loro Highlands capsule collection. The campaign features Edie Campbell, photographed by Alasdair McLellan in Gloucestershire’s countryside.
The imagery highlights an equestrian mood, which feels authentic for Campbell. After all, she is not only a model but also a skilled rider and a member of the Loro Piana Eventing Team. She competes in dressage, cross-country, and show jumping, always wearing Loro Piana uniforms.
Campbell described the capsule as “very Scottish”, emphasizing the brand’s strong connection with Scottish textile traditions. Moreover, she explained how the shoot captured that essence: “We shot in the Cotswolds, with horses and dogs on set — it felt like home,” she said.
The men’s and women’s capsule will launch on September 10 in boutiques and online. It showcases premium fabrics such as Cheviot, Cover Wool Storm, and rainproof waxed finishes. Most importantly, the highlight is the Loro Clan tartan, crafted from cashmere and the brand’s Wish wool. Available in two variations — brown with beige tones, and green shades — it is seen on the Elia shirt for men and the Dalia shirt for women.
The color palette draws inspiration from autumn in the Highlands, featuring moss green, deep brown, ochre yellow, and copper orange.

In addition, the capsule revisits one of the brand’s iconic designs: the Horsey jacket. This version comes in a three-layer mix of linen, silk, and jersey, combined with the Loro Clan tartan. Oversized coats and double-breasted trenches also add comfort while preserving elegance.
Accessories enhance the collection further. These include felt hats, silk foulards, and versatile boots. For example, in partnership with a French master bootmaker, Loro Piana created waterproof Chasseur boots. They feature a cashmere tartan panel, which adds the label’s signature touch.

Beyond fashion, the capsule underscores Loro Piana’s equestrian legacy. The brand established the Loro Piana Jumping Team in 1985. Later, it partnered with the Italian Federation of Equestrian Sports, marking a long-term collaboration.
In 1992, Loro Piana designed the uniforms for the Italian Show Jumping Team at the Barcelona Olympics. As a result, the original Horsey jacket was created in blue technical fabric with yellow trim.
For over three decades, Loro Piana has supported prestigious events, including the Rome Grand Prix at Piazza di Siena. Today, athletes such as Edwina Tops-Alexander, Jessica Springsteen, and Lorenzo De Luca compete in Loro Piana uniforms. Additionally, Paralympic champion Sara Morganti represents the brand in para-dressage.
Ultimately, the Highlands capsule combines heritage craftsmanship with modern sophistication. Campbell believes it reflects the rhythm of the countryside. “It captures ease, authenticity, and timeless elegance,” she explained.
Through this launch, Loro Piana strengthens its position as a brand that blends technical expertise rooted in equestrian traditions with contemporary lifestyle fashion.
